When will I get my first Yarn Crush box?
Yarn Crush boxes ship on the 22nd of each month, unless that falls on a weekend or holiday (in which case they ship out on the next business day). If you sign up by 10 days before the end of the month, your first box will ship that month. If you sign up within the last 10 days of the month, your first box will ship next month.
Sock Crush boxes ship on the 5th of each month, unless that falls on a weekend or holiday (in which case they ship out on the next business day). If you sign up by the 4th of the month you will receive the current month’s box. If you sign up on or after the 5th of the month, you will receive the next month’s box.
What will I get?
Each month you’ll receive at least one full-sized skein (or coordinated mini-skein set) of yummy yarn, along with beautiful knitting and crochet patterns designed specifically to use that yarn. The pattern comes printed in full-color on durable glossy cardstock at a perfect size to stash in your knitting bag.
We usually also include fun or useful extras we think you’ll like, such as limited-edition project bags, stitch markers, or tool pouches. The retail value of what you receive every month is always guaranteed to be higher than the subscription price, often valued over $50.00! No matter what you’ll always get a great deal!
Do gift subscriptions automatically renew?
Yes, gift subscriptions do automatically renew unless you cancel. If you buy a 3-month gift subscription, at the end of the 3 months if you don’t cancel, you will be billed again for another 3 months. If you would like to buy a gift subscription that does not renew, cancel it immediately after signing up—your recipient will receive all the boxes you paid for, you won’t have to remember to cancel it before the renewal date and you won’t be billed again. Subscription fees are non-refundable once billed.
Can I get a past box?
Maybe! We sometimes have a few boxes left over at the end of the month. Check out our overstock shop. If the box or yarn you’re interested in isn’t listed yet, just shoot us an email to email@example.com and let us know what you’re looking for. The price for a past box is $34.99 + shipping for a current subscriber, or $37.99 + shipping for everyone else.
What kind of yarn is included?
We source beautiful high-quality yarns we think you’ll fall in love with, from indie dyers, small businesses, and more well-known yarn brands alike.
I only crochet. Should I subscribe to Yarn Crush?
Yes—we include a crochet and a knitting pattern in every box!
Can I change my subscription?
Yes! Simply log into your account, click “Edit” under the subscription you’d like to change, and make whatever changes you’d like. Please note that changes don’t take effect until your next renewal. For example, if you initially signed up for a 6-month prepaid plan and would like to switch to monthly, that change won’t occur until your 6 month term is over.
Yes—simply log into your account and click “Edit” under the subscription you’d like to change. You can change your color preferences or prepay options, but please note these changes will not take effect until your next renewal (for example, if you subscribed to a 3 month prepaid subscription and decide one month in that you want to change to a month-to-month subscription, that change will not take effect until your 3 months are done).
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
When will I be billed?
Your first payment is charged when you sign up, and will be applied to your first month. After that, subscriptions automatically renew on the same day each month:
- Yarn Crush renews on the 1st day of the same month the box ships. For example, an August box renews on August 1st and ships on or around August 22nd. Your payment when you first sign up will cover your first box, so your first renewal will occur on the 1st day of the month after your first box ships.
- Sock Crush renews on the 15th day of the month before the box ships. For example, an October box renews on September 15th and ships on or around October 5th. Your payment when you first sign up will cover your first box, so your first renewal will occur on the 15th day of the same month after your first box ships.
Please note that subscriptions automatically renew unless you log into your account and cancel your subscription before the renewal date. Once a subscription payment has been made, it is non-refundable.
Can I change my payment method?
Yes! Simply log into your account, and click “Change Payment Method” next to the subscription for which you’d like to change the address. Be sure to do so before the last day of the month to ensure your payment goes through. If a payment fails, your account will be suspended until you log in and manually make a payment. If your account becomes suspended due to a failed payment, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or use the contact form on our website, and we’ll work with you to get it sorted out!
What happens if a payment fails?
Not to worry! Your account will be temporarily suspended until you log in and update your payment information. Please log in to make the payment as soon as possible if you don’t want to miss a Yarn Crush box! The system will continue to attempt to charge the subscription fee once a day for the next 10 days. After that if your payment has still failed, your subscription will automatically be cancelled. You can always log back in to your account to reactivate your subscription any time.
Shipping & Sales Tax
How much does shipping cost?
A flat shipping rate will be added to your subscription every month, based on where the box will be sent. The shipping rates are as follows:

When do Yarn Crush boxes ship?
Yarn Crush boxes ship on or around the 22nd day of each month.
Do you charge sales tax?
Canadian residents are charged HST according to their province:
- Alberta 5%
- British Columbia 5%
- Manitoba 5%
- New Brunswick 15%
- Newfoundland and Labrador 15%
- Northwest Territories 5%
- Nova Scotia 15%
- Nunavut 5%
- Ontario 13%
- Quebec 5%

What about customs and duty fees?
Any customs and duty fees are outside of our control, and the sole responsibility of the subscriber.
How do I change my address?
Simply log into your account, and click “Edit” or “Add an Address” under Shipping Address. Be sure to do so before the 21st of the month, or your box may be shipped to your old address. We regret we cannot issue refunds or replacement boxes due to incorrect or outdated addresses entered by the customer.
Replacements & Returns
What if something is missing or damaged?
Contact us at email@example.com and tell us what happened. We’ll work with you to make it right!
Can I return my Yarn Crush box?
Unfortunately we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. We do have a Swap/Destash board in our Ravelry group where you can sell or swap your box with other subscribers.
Of course, if you received a defective product or something was missing from your box, we will gladly replace it!
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, simply log into your account and click “Edit” under to the subscription you’d like to cancel, then click “Cancel Subscription”. Be sure to cancel your subscription before the payment auto-renews on the 1st day of the next month (or your next renewal period).
Please note that cancellations do not take effect until your next renewal, and you will receive any boxes you have already paid for. (for example, if you sign up for a 6 month prepaid subscription and cancel after receiving 2 boxes, your cancellation won’t take effect until after you have received the remaining 4 boxes).
Once a subscription renews, it is non-refundable. You can log back in and renew the subscription any time, as long as there are still subscription slots available.
