We loved the great photo Nathalie shared with us so much that we had to share it with you! We asked her a few questions. Read on for her insightful answers.

Did you make any modifications to the pattern? Would you if you made it again? Do you often make modifications to patterns?

I didn’t make any modifications to the pattern. I usually try to stick to patterns and if I modify it’s usually to adjust sizing, often to fit my 8 year old. She often wants mini versions of what I am making.

Who is this for? Or, if it’s you, how/when are you planning on using it?

But back to the market bag, I would definitely make it again, it was super quick to knit up and will be super useful for carrying fruits or vegetables I pick up at the farmer stands in the downtown Ottawa Market.

What do you like most about knitting/crocheting? What do you find the most rewarding about it?

Knitting is truly my passion and crochet seems to be quickly becoming an obsession as well. My favourite thing to do in the world is “Knit-flix” marathons. I need these to relax and take a break from a busy working mom schedule (or so I tell myself, lol). I find the greatest reward that comes from knitting is that it allows me to feel creative. I love art and even though I don’t have an artist’s talent, with knitting I can create a bit of yarn art myself.

What is the single best piece of knitting advice you’ve received?

The best knitting advice I have received and that I now pass along was to invest in a quality set of interchangeable needles. They are my most prized possession.
